School's In For Giggles
School is in for our latest yearling filly Just For Laughs, raced by the Cranbourne Allstars #2 racing partnership.
The daughter of Grinfromeartoear arrived at the stables of Anakie horseman Ross Payne at the beginning of April and in a short space of time "Giggles" has gone from having only ever been taught to lead and tie up to rolling along in the cart.
Payne has been pleased to date with the filly's attitude to learning and her natural pacing gait. A reasonably tall and leggy filly, Just for Laughs has an efficient loping stride and is comfortable working alongside and behind a track partner.
At this stage it is expected that the filly's education will be complete in a fortnight or so (mid May) at which stage she will enjoy a break in the spelling paddock.
Our trainer Lee Evison is looking forward to having the Just For Laughs enter his stables after her spell, particularly given the good recent form of her older half brother, D B Dazzler who was a winner for the Evison stable at Yarra Valley on 29 April.
