Decron Cranbourne Cup - Sat 10th Dec
This year's $100,000 Group 1 Decron Cranbourne Pacing Cup will be run on Saturday 10th December 2011.
Providing the final lead in to the Victoria Cup run a week later, the Cranbourne Cup is certain to attract Australia's elite harness racing performers out to emulate the deeds of 2010 Cup winner I'M THEMIGHTYQUINN. That pacer capped a stellar season with a second placing in the Interdominion and wins in the West Australian Cup, Fremantle Cup and the Auckland Cup.
Cranbourne CEO, David Scott is looking forward to Cup night 2011. "We definitely scaled new heights with the elevation of our 2010 Cup to Group 1 status and inclusion of the Cup meeting in the Victoria Cup Carnival. This year's race will be on the radar of all the interstate and Kiwi raiders heading to Melbourne over summer and we should again attract a super field."
The meeting also boasts the running of the $60,000 Group 1 Bill Collins Trotters Mile.
