Cranbourne Harness Racing Club
|NEXT RACE MEETING|
When it comes to harness racing, Ken Browne has had his finger in nearly every pie.
Starting out as a spectator of the sport, he has gone on to add breeder, owner, trainer and driver to his credentials and now even lives onsite at the Cranbourne Harness Training Complex as the caretaker.
We sat down for a chat with one of the most familiar faces around the local harness circles to find out more about his colourful career in the sport.
Exciting 4 year old Call Me Bond returned to the winners list with an emphatic victory at Yarra Valley on Monday afternoon.
Local trainer Viv Tomren recently bid her stable star Stylish Jasper a fond farewell. The daughter of Village Jasper has been retired by her owner Anthony Moody and will now embark on a breeding career with a mating to leading stallion Art Major planned.
Stylish Jasper and Kira Jo are at completely different ends of the spectrum in their harness racing careers, but their respective wins just a week apart recently had just as much significance to their trainers.
